Terms of Use

1. The service

CVBard is an online tool for creating CVs, formatting them with templates, importing existing CVs and downloading them as PDFs. We may change its features from time to time to improve it.

2. Accounts and guest use

• Give accurate information when signing up and keep your password secret; you are responsible for activity in your account.
• As a guest you can create one CV; guest data is deleted after 30 days without use. Create an account to keep your CVs.
• You can delete your account at any time on the profile page.

3. Your content is yours

The information and photos you add to your CV belong to you. You give us only the permission needed to provide the service: to store, preview and convert your content to PDF. You are responsible for your content being accurate, not infringing anyone’s rights, and for getting permission from people you list as references.

4. Templates and intellectual property

• The templates, designs, software and the CVBard brand belong to Zekeriya Semih Güler.
• You may use the templates to create your own CVs and use them in job applications.
• Copying, distributing, selling or reusing the templates in another service, or collecting them with automated tools, is prohibited. Template files are protected with per-user fingerprints.

5. Unacceptable use

• using the service for illegal purposes or to create fake or misleading CVs,
• impersonating others or processing other people’s personal data without permission,
• trying to bypass security measures or quotas, or overloading the service with automated requests,
• trying to reverse engineer the service’s source code or templates.

We may suspend or close accounts that break these terms.

6. Smart import

Smart import uses AI and works only with your explicit consent. Results can be inaccurate or incomplete; it is your responsibility to check the imported information before using it. Daily and monthly limits apply to prevent abuse.

7. Fees

CVBard is currently free. If paid features are added, they and their prices will be announced clearly in advance, and you will only use a paid feature if you explicitly purchase it. Paid services will come with their own distance sales agreement and pre-contract information.

8. Limitation of liability

We provide the service with care but can’t guarantee it will be uninterrupted or error-free, and we don’t guarantee that your CV will get you a job. To the extent permitted by law, we are not liable for indirect damages arising from use of the service. This limitation does not affect your statutory rights as a consumer or our liability for intent or gross negligence. We recommend keeping a PDF copy of your CVs.

9. Closing your account

You can delete your account at any time. If we ever shut down the service, we will notify you a reasonable time in advance so you can download your data.

10. Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of the Republic of Turkey, and the courts and enforcement offices of İzmir have jurisdiction. Your statutory rights as a consumer, including the right to apply to consumer arbitration committees and consumer courts and any mandatory protections of your country of residence, remain unaffected.

We may update these terms and will announce important changes in the app in advance. Send your questions through the support form.
